I know, its not that exciting of a thread, any excuse for me to rack up posts and post some pics. However, you guys convinced me that I needed to do something to my grille. So I bought off Ebay a small truck emblem and mounted her up after some modifications. What do you guys think? Should I take it off or leave it?

Time for some shorties or maybe hedmans as they appear to hug the floor closer. I should have put a tape measurer in there to gauge it...

I think it looks good, give it some time and see how you like it. I would register the car as a classic and get rid of that front plate, there are not required with the collector vehicle registration.

The front emblem looks pretty good IMHO.
Put regular springs on the frt and not have this problem with the headers hitting.
My springs are tired and my headers sit that low. Hate it!!!!
Just gotta get to the frt susp project this winter.

Stop doing wheel stands and your headers will last longer;)

Wow those headers are really low. I wish I knew what brand mine are, but I do know that they are off a 67 and they fit great. Creamic coated brand new for free.:thumbsup: Always good to have friends with chevys.

An emblem looks good in that grille, to be honest I would prefer it to be a little bigger. How about these? The first is from a 69, the second 71 both available aftermarket.

Brian, I like those emblems too. Some of those measure 6-8" long though and I thought they might look toooo big.

I'm gonna be the dissenter here... i think you should really consider the correct 68 malibu emblem. I think it would look killer against the black grill...

Are yours really as bad as mine? One of them is now not just flattened, but it must have hit a high spot because it went concave where it was flattened. :sad:
