I thought I'd post this in this forum since most of you guys are running slicks at the strip and know how to fit the most tire under the car. First off the car has 4.10 gears right now so I'm trying to get the tallest tire I can under it. The wheels I'm going to use are weld prostars. What size of 15" prostar should I use and what size of tire can I go with. Will a 10" wide wheel fit or does it need to be 8" and if so what backspacing. I saw the M/T ET Drags there is a 30x9 and a lot of different 29" tall tires. Will the 30x9 go under there or should I go with the 29". Also, I'm not willing to do any work to the body(like rolling the inner lip) so I have to work with a stock wheel well.

Thanks for your help.

8 or 9" wheel is all your going to get under there without any modifications,,,there are a couple that I know of that are running 15x10's on the back, with a lip roll or inner fender hammer job. 29x10 is about the biggest slick you'll get on there, maybe 30x10. I had 29x10's on mine and they sure filled the wheel well,,,currently running 28x10.5 on a 8" wheel...and the wheel is really too small for those slicks.

Bob,

You sure are typing pretty quick tonight... :D

Bob is right, I run a 15x10 Prostar with a 5.5" BS but with lip modifications and a 28x13.5 tire.

a 15x8 will easily fit.

Thanks guys, I found a couple of 15x8's with 4.5" backspacing for sale really reasonable I think I'll try those for a while. Thanks, Matt
