On my 454s stck fuel pump, the OUT fitting (the one that feeds the carb) is leaking fuel & I am afraid to tighten it much more for fear of stripping it.
I know your not supposed to use teflon tape on fuel fittings, but do I need to? or maybe go for it & really crank down on it?
It's really leaking bad,maybe a drip every 10-15 seconds.

I'd say to try some liquid Teflon thread sealer; works for me. Teflon tape's a pain in the arse!

did it just start leaking, or did you just install it? you might want to take it out and make sure the line is not cracked first, maybe the end was not flared right-if it is leaking around the threads, it wont hurt to put some tape/sealer on it, just hold back a couple threads so it doesnt get into the actual opening

You might want to pull it apart and check the fittings for nicks or groves. Make sure that the line is bent correctly and not exerting unusual side force. I have used oil before on the threads to aid in tightening them. It helps if you have a tubing wrench so you can tighten them firmly without rounding the head. Teflon paste would also aid in thread lubrication and should work fine. Good luck and hope you get it sealed up.
