Just got my engine dyno results back and planted the motor on the frame...after a long time some progress is made! These are the particulars:

496 c.i. 4-bolt main block
Pro Topline Iron Heads, ported and polished
648/648 lift, 246.252 dur. Hydraulic Roller (Comp Cams), 114 lsa
Dyers 8-71 Supercharger, twin 750 reworked blower carbs (74F-84R jets)
Currently 7.5 pounds of boost
Moderate street tune - 825 hp, 710 lb-ft torque
Dyno pulls range 4700-6500 rpm (hp still climbing)
Everything measured on pump gas
Max exhaust gas temp at 6500 rpm = 1400 degF
Max water temp at 65oo rpm = 171
Max fuel lb/hr: Fuel A = 130.1, Fuel B = 301
Oil Pressure 61 psi
Testing air temp = 88 degF
35 degrees of timing

I am most familiar with the Aeromotive fuel pump that I ran on my FI engine in my Camaro. I have a fuel cell (20 gallons) that I wanted to run -12 line out of into a pump and filter, then -10 up to a boost referenced regulator and -8 out to the carbs.

Any thoughts?

Any insight?

The Magnaflow pumps are about the best you can get. That is a very nice engine combination

Thanks, I was looking at the MagnaFlow pumps and filter. Is the Aeromotive more akin to FI set-ups?

Hey Chas67, I like your set-up. I'm using an Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump (on an 8-71 502) and it's working like a charm with no fuel pressure issues at all. I had tried a Comp140 pump from the naturally aspirated motor, but it couldn't keep up with the fuel demand. Check it out before you buy.

Thanks for the reply, Wes.

Can you tell me which regulator you are running for your fuel syetem? I do like the Aeromotive pumps as I never had any issue with the twin set up on my blown Camaro.

Thanks,
Charles

No problem. smile.gif The regulator is an Aeromotive A1000 unit. It works well with dual carb set-ups. It also has a vacuum port for blow thru superchargers but I've got mine plugged off since I'm using a roots blower.
