Anyone have feedback on this system? It lists for $509 in Summit and includes everything behind the headers. Sounds like something I would like to do on my Elky - I think I would go with the tailpipes that exit under the bumper pointing straight backward. This is on a 468 that put 380 hp./555 tq. to the ground on a conservative Mustang chassis dyno. Right now it has a 2.5" h-pipe dual system with Dynomax Super Turboes. Will I notice a performance difference? How does the system sound? Will I lose torque? (like I can hook it up now anyway)

Sorry to go off topic here, but what brand, size & stall converter are you running?
Actually, mind just filling in a bit about the combo overall? Just curious.
In my limited experience I wouldn't think you would lose torque, unless the mufflers are junky, OR you are losing an h or x pipe in the process.
An x-pipe on my car was worth a bunch of power over a true dual, something to the tune of like 20hp.

I was concerned mainly with going from 2.5" to a full 3" system. Basically I was wondering if I would create a 'lack of backpressure' issue with that big of an exhaust. Trans. is a THM-400 with 2200ish stall. The 468 has a solid roller cam (unknown specs) and is basically your typical 'torque monster' so I wouldn't mind moving the curve upward a little to get a little more midrange and top end. As it is you can't launch with any rpm whatsoever and you can't get on it with any more than 1/3 throttle in 1st or you are watching the tailgate come around real fast. This is with a 3.73 limited slip and 275/60s on fat Corvette Ralleys on the back. Basically I want to know if a 3" system is worth it, since you can get a nice 2.5" system for half the price.
