I got all the components ready to install,3/8 pick up line , -8an line and fittings and one Moroso 5 1/2" long fuel filter .
Should I install this filter near the tank or at mid of the line for easy maintenace check up??
This fuel filter only should be ok or I need another fuel filter after the Carter #4889 ,120gph mech. fuel pump ??

I run one before the electric pump and one after the mechanical pump.

Vaya Boricua. I run only one the favorite Fram canister before holley BLK electric pump. Most electric pumps have a fine mesh sort of like the sock in gas tank will catch what filter wont.Got plenty Salsa to the rear wheels.Snow and cold in Chicago.Nice and warm on the Island.

Robert , I only run the mech pump should I use the filter before the pump ? your two pumps set up system is my other option if the mechanical 120gph pump don't do the jop with the -8an line .

I think the 5.5" after the mechanical will be fine, since the sock probably catches most of the junk and its not as hard on a mechanical pump anyway. I removed my sock in the tank so I need definately need one before the electric pump, but its a good idea anyway since they are more sensitive to dirt.

Thanks Robert, I change the tank pick up line and installed anew 3/8 inner Dia. with no filter.
I think the filter should be before the pump to keep the pump clean .

It wouldnt hurt to run a plastic filter like a WIX right out of the tank.
