Does anyone in here run the 1.7:1 Harland Sharp Roller Rockers. They are the thicker rocker arm. If so, what Valve Cover are you able to run and make it fit? I'm having problems finding valve covers to fit. Did you have to use an extra thick gasket? I saw an extra thick gasket in the OPG catalog that I thought about ordering to see if it helped. Any ideas anyone? Its pretty frustrating. Thanks.

Moroso talls on mine, but had to install my own baffle system for the breather because they don't come with one and they can make things a little messy.

Common problem with these things. I had to round off the corners on a few rockers and I doubled up on the valve cover gaskets as well. I have all of the rockers off at the moment on my work bench, so when I get home tonight, I can tell you which ones I had to grind. For gaskets, I use a thick MrGasket and a standard glued together. I run stock height valve covers because of my power brake booster. I also have baffles in the breather holes

They will hit the cover on the first bolt hole on the top of the driver side, as well as the last one on the top on the pass side.. I have heard that you can just grind the edge of the rocker, but I chose to put a couple of dents in the cover instead.

If you need I can post a pic of where the need to be "clearanced".

Just like ssal396 described, I had to do this to clear my Cast Alum. GM covers.

Keep in mind after market alluminum heads will be different then iron heads as far as clearance goes also if you use studs instead of head bolts that will also make a difference.
I have the 840 cast iron heads and didn't have to grind anything to make them work.

In addition to grinding the corners off 2 rockers and the "fat" gaskets I had to trim back the valve cover baffles and the drippers inside for mine to work.

Mine look just like the above pictures. I had to round the corner off of 1I and 8I

FYI, they have a new revision to those rockers. They already have tapered edges. My harlands have about 13k miles on them and are very "wiggly". Makes for a very noise valve train.
