Ok guys i got a 67 chevelle with a built 502 BBC with 2' and 3.5 out headers and i got 2 1/2 inch out through 40 series flowmasters, They sound like crap so the ? is I want to find some mufflers and exhaust that doesnt have that drone and tinny sound like the flowmasters do. I was thinking 3 inch exhaust tubing Through Dynomax Bullet Race Mufflers Will they sound better than those horable sounding flowmasters. Any other mufflers that would be better? I dont like the Drone of most Flowmaster type muffers gets real annoying but i do like a loud car just not the drone...

I run bullets on my 355 Nova, and I love them.
They are VERY loud, but I don't have the drone inside the car. As long as the pipes get out from under the car, you won't get that droning sound.
They're not rappy like glass pacs either. Just a low, loud rumble. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
Mine are 12" long, and 4" diameter. You can look right thru. them. And..they're cheap! graemlins/waving.gif

With a built 502 and a 3" exhaust with the bullets your 67 will be loud as hell. I have a 2 1/2" system with the bullets and turn downs on my 72 and it has a mild 350 that barely has a lope to it and it sounds like a race car. Like Zman said they are VERY LOUD so when your going through residential areas or driving by poice you might want to not get on it and just coast by. ;) IMO I think they will sound bad ass behind your 502. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Get yourself a 3" system, x or h up to you, and some Spin Techs which end right before the rear end. That'll get your ears buzzin!!! :D graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I agree with the rest smile.gif I'm running 2.5" with some Dynomax Bullets behind a healthy 396... sounds pretty good, and WOT they really scream :D

For a street car,I'd run tailpipes
JMHO and experience.

I like the Dynomax welded oval Ultra Flows. A very nice sound and not as loud as bullets. A fellow I know was send home from the strip because his bullets were too loud.

Dawg,
About a year now. The car doesn't get driven much though....
At WOT, they sound like open headers! :D
