The best Qjet board on the 'net BY FAR IS-

the one you're at right now! chevelles.com! graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Id bet if you have specific questions, someone here for sure can answer them. Lars at the Corvetteforum is pretty good, but who knows how often he's there.

Maybe some Stock or Super Stock guys could help you.

There is a guy, Cliff R, that posts here that is a Qjet master.

http://forums.performanceyears.com/eve/ubb.x?a=frm&s=7286011111&f=6406082911

He runs a performance shop, and seems happy to answer questions although I'm sure he'd rather sell his services. He has a website but it is very new and incomplete.

Rod,
If you really want to learn about Q-jets ... spend a couple of dollars and buy this book:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0895863014/qid=1086014032/sr=8-1/ref=pd_ka_1/102-7726752-9884942?v=glance&s=books&n=507846

It is by far the best Q-jet book out there, a must have for anyone wanting to run a Q-jet carb. It will pay for itself the first time you take the carb apart.

Billk,

I have that book, and I couldn't agree more. It is the best. I rebuilt a leaky q-jet for a 75 Corvette, and this book saved me a lot of headaches!

Guys, I know about EVERY one of the sources you mentioned including some you didn't. I don't have any specific questions. I guess I'm just looking to read more about people's various REAL LIFE experiences in tuning and repairing them. Team Chevelle is my favorite forum BUT there really hasn't been anyone here that I've seen lately who is trying to tune a QJ for performance. A specific PERFORMANCE forum for QJets would be great for what I'm looking for but I guess none exists.

Thanks for responding though. ;)

if you can't find what you need- start your own board and maybe the q-jet gurus out there will find it..
kind of like this site for Chevelles and Camaros.net for Camaros..

There used to be a SUPER bunch of info on SuperStock.com about tuning the Qjet for S/S drag racing and b***s out performance. It crashed, and its gone :( - they were by a guy named Danny Ashley. There was like 15-20 MS WORD pages in there, I think. Just TONS of stuff..

Download the LARS Qjet stuff at corvettefaq.com if you havent; that has some good stuff too- at least as good as that Roe book, IMHO (w/out pics, though) AND its FREE to boot!

Too bad about the Super Stock forum because the modifications and tuning mean that much more to me with before and after track results. Those SS guys are all about measurable results.
