Didn't you know, the lower the number the better ;). We've got Roger's lite. The download was 900 kbps, and the upload was 116kbps. Daren

It depends on what are you paying for?

As long as the numbers are somewhere in the ballpark of what you pay for, it is good.

Here is what I got on my Speed Test... Tested with Chicago, IL

Doing a bunch of Uploading at the same time, that explains why the upload speed is smaller than I expected.

But to answer your question that will do just fine. At home I get a little over 10,000 on the speakeasy test.

No - it's measuring kilobits per second. Higher is definately more and better here. By the way your numbers are very good. Mine are about half that since I have Time Warner. Adelphia times were closer to yours.

I just recently signed up for Road Runner's super fast deal for an extra five bucks per month for first year and 9.95 per month after that. (I forget now what they call it)

Anyway I'm thinking the numbers were higher before but not sure and I have 30 days to cancel the deal.

I did find out my firewall slows down the test.

Sorry Dean, that's why I put the ;) behind it. Just kidding. Like others said before, I think your service is pretty fast, probably no problem doing any work, or fun with that speed. Take care, Daren

the test is in kilobits NOT kiloBytes.

There is a difference.

To figure out kiloBytes from a KilBits reading you divide by 8...

also uploading is usually less...someytimes ALLOT less...

Last Result:
Download Speed: 4901 kbps (612.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 362 kbps (45.3 KB/sec transfer rate)

That was mine using the SAN FRANCISCO option.
