the only one i can think of that would come close would be the 104+ "race formula." others on this board might know some other brands.i've been out of the game too long.

when an Octane booster says it will raise your octane say.....4 points that means it will raise you from 94.0 to 94.4 :(

10 "points" = 1 Octane Whole Number

FROM AN AD I FOUND

Super Octane Boost 104+ (16 oz.)
Availability: Usually ships the next business day.

Super Octane Boost 104+ (16 oz.)
GOL10410Regular price: $9.99Sale price: $9.49, 2/$17.98

Designed for off-road use in 2 and 4 cycle Sport Gasoline Engines. Increases octane effect up to 7 points. Extra concentrated for high-compression engines. Stops knocks, pings, run-on, and overheating caused by low octane fuels. Cleans fuel injectors and carburetors. Dynamometer tests show Super 104+ significantly increases horsepower in high-compression engines. Safe for fuel cells, liners, gaskets, o-rings, catalytic converters and oxygen sensors. Does not contain lead, alcohol, aniline, toluene or MTBE. Treats up to 22 gallons.

So....If you were to fill your tank with 94 and wanted to get 102 octane, you would need 11 cans of octane boost Super 104+

at 17.98 for 2 it would cost your 20 gallons of 94 plus $108 in octane boost.

You can add Toluene or Xylene straight to the tank, up to about 15% by volume. These are commonly sold as paint thinners or strippers. Buy in bulk from a paint store.

Toluene and xylenes (ortho, meta, and para) are natural components of gasoline. They are aromatic hydrocarbons (like benzene)that provide better antiknock properties than aliphatic hydrocarbons like iso-octane. I would not use paint thinner or stripper as these are complex mixtures of organic compounds that will not be suitable for an internal combustion engine. These usually contain halogenated (chlorine) hydrocarbons like methylene chloride or 1,1,1 trichlorethylene. Halogens do not burn.

The Lead Supreme 130 is the ticket! My brother uses it his outrageously fast snowmobile. It really works great!

Ok ok, I didn't mean put paint stripper in your tank, I should have said, buy the pure toluene in bulk. Yes it does work. Very well. Porsche used to use it in their turbo race cars.

I have a 5 gallon pail of PURE xylene in my garage. Very nasty hazardous stuff, but great for anti knock. It came from an automotive paint supplier.

toluene and xylene can cause nasty health problems, my grandfather worked at pennzoil and died a painful death from being exposed to benzene.

for that reason alone i would never use the stuff

I can appreciate your concern, but you are exposed to the stuff every time you put gas in your car, plus many other ugly things.

yeah, but when you put gas in your car you very rarely come in contact with it, and gasoline only has a small percentage of these chemicals.

you are using the chemical in its raw form, mixing it, breathing it in, and its even worse when you do it in a closed environment.

if you use this stuff, mix it in a well ventilated area, wear gloves and try not to get any on you.

just trying to look out, i dont want to get into specifics but i dont wish that kind of death on anybody.

You want to look at a fuel that works great EXCEPT for it's high price AND it is "Triptane"!!

WW II piston engine aviation fuel... Interesting stuff to say the least if you want to take the time to read up on it!!

We are talking super high octane when used with TEL for use with combined "NOS, Supercharged and Water Injection" systems under EXTREMELY HIGH boost conditions in Dive Bombers and Fighters!!

He, He!! I figure those old Allison powered Mustangs and RR Merlin powered Lightenings, (if I have my planes right??), really got up AND went!!

Hey guys, well there be an advantage to adding Kemco Lead Supreme 130 to a street car? Will it hurt anything besides the wallet? Would you need to change your plugs? Anything else needed to know?
