Walk me through measuring pushrod length. I have a Sb 408 with a UD/Lunati small base circle hydraulic roller cam using Crane roller lifters and comp rockers. It has Dart Pro1 heads and a stock deck height.
I have an adjustable push rod and can I use just the inner spring to check the rocker agle while at max lift?

Don't have the solid roller lifter to use and it would be different in height than the hydraulic roller. But I think I have the push rod leaving the described mark now how do I measure it accurately?

Rob,
There is no way to do it accurately with out either disassembling one of your hydraulic rollers and stacking washers in it to simulate a pumped up lifter OR remove a valve spring and use a light checking spring that will not collapse the hydraulic lifter. Only way to do it "correctly" period. No shortcuts :(

Go to a well stocked hardware store and find a light spring. A friend and I just went to a True Value and found a nice set of checking springs ( p/v clearance in this case).
