i was just wondering if any of you have cruise control in your cars and what exactly the best way was to install a system.
i have a 71 so in reference to that year would be good to.

when I first bought my 71' there was a cruise control device bolted to the drivers side wheel well that had a cable connected to the throttle linkage. Unfortunely the control part for it was missing, so I never knew of it worked or not. I ended up taking it off and giving it to a friend who is a bit of a pack rat

thanks allot this is exactly what i was thinkin about. i probably wont do it anytime soon but it would be kinda cool to have eventually.

I am using the Dakota Digital unit & it works great. Installs easily & holds cruise +/- 2mph. The HND-3 control stalk resembles something that you'd expect to find on a 70's vehicle. Previously I had used an era correct system that I pieced out from the recycling yard. It worked, but was eratic and parts were very hard to come by.
