i'm replacing my factory idiot lights in my 69 chevelle to the aftermarket gauges. ques. is will the oil pressure gauge work with my current auto meter sending unit? they are both electric units.

I am unsure of exactly what you are asking. If it is, can you convert the in dash gauges from lights to sweep gauges and use Autometer senders? No, You'd have to use gauge onlt replacements, but I always try and keep both the in dash and aftermarket gauges work at the same time. The idiot lights will light up and let you know about a problem, at least oil pressure, sooner that a random eye sweep of the gauges. Temp, maybe not so much. I also try to keep the aftermarket gauges to make sure about in dash calibration. Factory gauges vary wildly.

I'm doin same here. I bought sender #GAC-110 from GUp for oil press sw. non-gauges, got a brass tee and nipples :) from homeless depot so i can use both the wired factory idiot lite and under dash gauges w/copper oil line. The tee goes into the fitting (GUp #N-133) above oil filter. Thinkin about using only the new Temp gauge, not idiot lite too. Hope this works.
