clever. he came up with the idea of using stock replacement roller lifters and matching retainers and "spider" on an old block- and for $20 you can get all the same info you could get for free from any GM perfromance parts catalog.
he can tap 3 holes in the intake valley of a block, but he can't use spark plug wire looms.
since every 350 and 305 that went in passenger cars starting in 87 had a rolelr cam setup in it, about the only use for this info is if you have a 400 block or a 283 or something that you want a late model roller cam in- and even then, i'd be a little hesitant to do it, simply because by using the new style lifters in an old style block, you have to be giving up some max lift potential due to the later roller blocks having slightly taller lifter bores for the slightly taller lifters- which only have a certain lift limitation due to the way they are machined.

The most amazing thing of all about it is that you're drilling and tapping into the main bearing oil feed passage..... I personally don't think I'd pay somebody $20 for instructions on how to take that kind of risk.

Altogether not a real wise idea IMHO.

You guys are right...and FYI, it don't work a Big Block..buy the Retro-Lifters it is a lot safer..
