Wife and I NEED to get away for awhile.(stressed out).Need some peace and quiet and some ocean view. Thinking about going down in that area for a few days. Only a 1 1/2 hours away. Chevelle will stay home,(too wet out, and one broken ex.valve,so far).
Haven't be there for years. Any suggestions where to stay, good meals,drives,etc. Good prices would help. Thanks for any help

Don't know much in Annacortes, but i just passed through there going out to Orcas Island and San Juan island last week for my honeymoon... Was awesome!

Maybe we'll make it our second honeymoon. She's do,dew? Be 30 years now.

Are you on vancouver island or the mainland? If you are on the island you could take the Black Ball ferry and this would be even closer. If you are in Vancouver its a little further to drive.

We stayed in the "Cedar" which is a private cabin. The breakfast included was incredible and the owners were very friendly and helpful with recomendations for local restaurants, etc.

We will definitely be going back.:thumbsup:

If You want to get off the "beaten" path, head over to La Conner. Same as Anacaortes, just smaller, and more laid back. Plus if You need to get to the "Big" city of Anacortes, it's only 20 mins away.

That is a very nice area with lots to see and do. Hope to get back next year.

Thanks guys. Definetely stopping at La Conner,Deception Pass State park, Taking the scenic Chuckanut Dr. down from Bellingham. Got a great deal in Oak Habour for lodging.
