Guys, I'm trying to help my buddy tune his eddy 1407. I myself have a road deamon 725 and love it , the manifold vac is around 9 psi on it, I put in on what I thought was manifold vac on his eddy and it was bearly at 4 psi what gives?? Any tips on tuning this thing ?? we move the acc pump from the middle to the top then to the bottom holes with no change (as in getting better) also screwed the air screws in and out on the front of the carb, what seems like about 2.5 turns out is best but still no throttle response like my deamon??? (but never more than 4 psi no matter what I did) Is ther that much diff in the two carbs?? His engine is a 350 with eddy performer rpm package and cam, car run decent from rolling but from dead stop its a dog.. Help..

So your comparing his vacuum readings to yours? Or did you try your Demon on his engine?

the manifold vac is around 9 psi on it,

Is that absolute or gauge pressure?

the vac on my deamon was at 9 his eddy was only at 4 but I think I might have been on ported rather than manifold on the eddy gonna try some other thingd tonight.
