I have the following numbers visable on the front pad of a 396.
smaller numbers that I canmake out to start the series. is where I think a number should be, but I can't make it out.

These #'s are the casting numbers at the rear of the block. T0307EDH6A

I believe this all means 66 Chevelle 396/325 manual trans
March 7. Am I right?

the 6A means its a 66 made in Atlanta. are you sure about the other numbers. maybe try a magnifying glass. a 396 should start with an E.

The ED is for a 396 and the H is for the holley carb that came on the engine originally.

Sounds like a Classic Atlanta Deck stamp in description of size of 6 and A and I agree 396/325hp with Holley Carb :yes:
