I would like know what these #'s on the frame behind drivers rear tire, on the verticle section of the frame mean. I'm looking for the serial #'s first line is3960735 s 290 which I think is a part # and second line a little lower on frame is 10-601XV I think, very hard to read. Should I be looking on the top ( horizontal) part of frame and which section? My # 985-855-4482 Mark LeBlanc in Louisana Thank You

Must be a convertible? 3960735 is the part number, the S is probably inside a circle, for AO Smith, the frame maker, 10-6 is the build date, October 6th 1st shift. XV is the code that is on the build shhet for the frame identification.
The VIN, if it is stamped on the frame, can be on either side, stamped on the horizontal top surface. Usually behind the next to last body mount hole.

the vin will not tell you anything as far as being an LS6. either build sheet or the original block with matching numbers. but however that could of been faked, you better get an expert to look at it for you.
