I have a 70 Chevelle with A/C. I have installed a new engine wire harness and according to the wiring diagram I need to connect the 12g orange wire to the "HTR BLO". The heater fan is already wired through the heater A/C control harness and the heater relay is powered from the fused orange wire from the other engine compartment harness. The old harness was a mess but from what I can tell the same orange wire was not connected to anything. Did I get a generic harness for A/C and non A/C models or do I need to connect this 12g orange terminal to something.

In A/C cars, the orange wire is not connected to anything. All engine harnesses have this wire, when the car has A/C, the factory left this wire in the harness, not connected to anything.
