: flash stall

I recently converted my TH350 to manual shift and for the first time I've been able to do a proper flash stall test. In top gear from about 10 mph, I hit full throttle and watched the tach. The needle hesitated for just an instant at 3700 then went to 4200 and pretty much stayed there while the car accelerated. The hesitation at 3700 was almost imperceptible. Is the flash stall 3700 or 4200?

lol...I was wondering the same thing. I think the answer is yet to be found. With my manual VB th350 that stalls at 4500rpm(on shifts and out of the hole) will "flash" to 4700 when I break stand in 3rd for a split second..after about 2 seconds of being on the verter
