Looking for a diagram and/or repair instructions for a manual steering box on my 68 Chevelle. Oil is leaking out of the front of the unit and it appears a special tool is necessary to remove the large fastener on the front of the unit where the oil is leaking. Coming up empty handed after searching this site and checking Haynes and 68 GM repair manuals.
One posting mentioned that overfilling the box could cause the seals to leak...hmmm?

Found the answer myself on Jim Shea's Steering Papers.

They take chassis grease, not liquid gear oil. I use a moly based lube, Jim's papers suggest lithium base.
