: Wii Game question
66 MYSTERY CHEVELLE Oct 15th, 07, 12:02 PM Being totally a NON GAMER.. I ask those in who may be Gamers..
Is this game really that hard to get? My GF wants to get it for her kids for X-mas and says they are impossible to find unless you want to pay $100 plus over retail.. is that true? and if not or if so.. does anyone know where the best place to get one is.. I'd love to surprise her and say.. " Hard to find?? no dear.. here it is right here in my hands.. brand new at $250 " :D
Thanks
Mike
Rob G Oct 15th, 07, 1:21 PM I have seen them in stores. It really depends on each region I guess. My best advice would be to just talk to the salespeople or managers if they know where the stocks are at.
PickSS Oct 15th, 07, 1:35 PM Mike,
We got one for the kids for Christmas this year at toys-r-us. We asked when the next shipment was coming in and we got one. It was really no big deal and we did not have to pay anythng extra.

Cough! Gack! Ack! That's like nearly an entire interior for the Chevelle!
Must be nice to have cars that are already done ;)

will02 Oct 15th, 07, 11:38 PM Mike, just saw one at our local small town Iowa discount store (Pamida) for under $250. Sometimes you just got to look where nobody has the money or time to buy things like that! Beer's cheap in small towns too! :beers: Funny, we find time for beer!
66 MYSTERY CHEVELLE Oct 15th, 07, 11:58 PM Go back and buy it and ship it to me and I will pay you.. serious!!!

Chris R Oct 16th, 07, 1:05 AM They have been out long enough to where, the exitement and "newness" has died down. All of those that have really wanted one have gotten them and they are now stocked on stores and not rushing out the door. I cant imagine you having trouble finding one in any city that has a selection of stores that carry this sort of thing. Even stores like Sears have them.

Thats true, besides the wii sucks!
The only game thats fun to play on it is wii sports, and thats it!
Why pay 300 bucks so you can imitate outside sports when you CAN be outside playing sports?!
jeffc Oct 16th, 07, 9:20 AM The Wii is a lot of fun. Go to Target when they open Sunday and ask for one. I bet they have one. I got one opening day and it's a good time for all.
TonyZ Oct 16th, 07, 10:45 AM Fact is that kids play video games, and the Wii is the only one that has them moving to play. It's fun any way you slice it. Hardcore gamers won't like it but kids do. We've had friends over and they get a kick out of playing it and don't want to stop.
Mike - as already suggested try several stores. Toys-R-Us likes to put two or three out each day when they have stock. You should be able to find one at retail but they aren't everywhere. You will need extra controllers though, they only package one with the console. Most games are for two players, but some can be played by 4. You also will need only two of the controller attachments (nunchucks) for some games.

I'm going to disagree with your statement about the hardcore gamers. My son is a hard core gamer. Drove from MN to TX a couple years ago to enter an international gaming tournament. 22 years old at the time, he was one of the oldest there. Now he is a computer programmer, and works for a company that writes games. He bought one when it first came out, and he and all his friends love it.

friends of ours have one, and my daughter fell right in love with it...so now we are in the market for one too.
I agree that the bowling and boxing were a lot of fun...me and a friend had a good boxing match going, and I know I was sweating!!
