I know the subject of Mufflers has been addressed many times. But I haven't heard much on Summit turbo mufflers, or Flowtech's Afterburner and Terminator mufflers. What I'm looking for is sound levels and the performance gains, or losses. Especially on 396 BB cars above stock performance. (400-450 HP).

What im looking for mostly is a great sound. Since my car is only a weekend carshow cruiser I'm not too worried about interior resonance (I actually like that head droning experience)

If you reply please also state year, engine, size exhaust, muffler type and where the exhaust exits. ie. dumps, before/ after rear wheels turn downs or strait out...

I have Summit Turbo's in 2.5" on my '69 C10 (Escalade 5.3/4L60e swap) and they are nice and mellow at idle and cruise, but really get load when I get into the gas.

Here is a video of my Afterburners. I love the sound! 3" exhaust exiting behind the quarter panels Rest of motor in sig.
