I have a 350sb thats pretty mild, i was wondering what cam out there has the roughest idle but staying with a stock converter. "2000-5000+"rpms most likely

check out the competition magnum series.. I have a 280H.. love it..and a great sounding idle, but still usable on the street..running a tomatoe can ( for power brake vacuum) and a 2500 stall converter

oh yeah.. you might not want somthing quite as big as the one I have...perhaps a 272H or the 260..bigger cams need more of everything.. call the comp techline too. they can give you some pretty knowledgeable advice...

I have a 268 in my 350. My engine is pretty stock with 76cc combustion chamber heads, performer rpm intake, perofrmer 600 carb, full length headers, and my trans is a th350 with a shift kit and the stock converter.

It works really well and I don't have any vacume problems with my brakes or anything.

Crane 274H06. It functions OK with a stock convertor, and sounds pretty nice and noticeable at idle in a 9.0-1 350.

what if you get the correct cam, and then make the mixture really really really rich so it idles rough????

OR pull a plug wire off and idle around with your foot on the brake and POSE!!

Then, once you are ready to go home, stop, install the plug wire and drive on home so that nobody is none the wiser!!

it makes the car feel faster

I think I'd rather richen up my mixture than pull a plug wire.

Get a cam with a tight LSA. Even a relativly small cam with a 106º or 108º LSA will give you the lopy idle you want.
