Has anyone run one of these?

I bought one years back. Put it on my car for a few months and the disc the fan bolts to came off the shaft sending the fan into the radiator.

Didn't have the receipt so I took it off and threw it in the basement. Found it today :D

Has anyone ever had a problem like this?

I have two of them. Ran the first one for 4 years. (my new motor happened to come with one on it already so now I have the first one as a spare) No problems with either.

I'm having problems with mine, but not the same problems. I put one on my brand new motor. Started it up, everything was fine. Took it out on the street, mashed the gas, and blew the gasket out of the plate on the back that covers the impeller. Covered the brand new motor with antifreeze (and the rest of the car because the hood was still off). That one might have been my fault because I plugged the bypass between the pump and the intake (and I has a thermostat in). After reading several posts, I received mixed info as to wether or not the bypass must be installed, so I hooked it back up. Well, I just pulled the plate off the back again today, another blown gasket. I have no idea why it happened this time. I'm going to call Weiand tomorrow.

So I have this thing, pushed the disc part way on so it wouldn't get lost.

I would imagine these are pressed on with loctite? or something like that?

Would I be able to put the disc back with a press or am I asking for trouble?

I have 2 not Team G's, one on the motor and a spare (short pumps). I had the same problem with the gasket pushing out the back also. it was an easy fix, never another problem.
