Looking at a small block for a friend.
Block casting 3932388 date 4-15-68 (is it a 327 or 350?)
HU suffix
gets confusing...nastyZ28 website lists HU suffix for 1969 a 302-290 HP and a 290 or 300 HP 350
or a 1965/327 HP
I have ruled that out due to the date code.
Has 462 fuelies on it too.
Thanks for any input

Obviously the castings on that engine make it a 327 or a 350, but both are listed as 69's. The 327's were only 2 bolt mains, the 350's were 2 or 4 bolt mains. If it's a 4 bolt main it's a 350. If not the internals will tell the size. The head codes might tell the tale also. It appears there are only a few castings that were shared by the two engines - all the rest are seperate. Can you get those numbers?
Also the casting for the 302 was 3932386. Close.

I don't think the heads are original. They have no accessory bolt holes and are 3890462 fuelies with a E186 date code. Motor is running so checking the internals is not an option.
Thanks for all the info
