Where does the oil pressure line connect to on the LS6 454 block?
Is it the large oil cooler hole or where?

Temp. ????? You mean pressure right. Yes, there is a port above the oil filter.

the big one on the left is not to be used unless you are running external oil filter. this was done on all the 4bolt blocks for racing purposes.

I guess I still am not sure as to where the oil sender line connects to on the LS6 block? I am not running an oil cooler so the big hole has a plug in it with a W on it?

Your post title says oil temp sender. There is no such thing on a stock engine. If you are talking about the oil pressure sender, it really does not matter where it goes as long as it is in a hole that has oil pressure to it. The one near the oil filter is the one most commonly used, but you can use the one in the front of the block at the front of the oil galley also.

Hey 69396ss, I have the LS6 block that has the larger hole in the block above the oil filter? Does it work the same way, Is that the correct fitting for the wire to plug onto from the factory for the LS6 454.

It's a reproduction sending unit purchased from www.ss396.com (http://www.ss396.com) but I would assume it's close.

Most of their parts are relativelly true to form.

My 70 L78 has the brass angled fitting threaded into the hole just left of the large plug. This accepts th gauge sending switch.

Temporarily I have a tube fitting attached until I fire the motor to break the cam in.

It appears the large angled brass fitting is correct.

I do not have the 512 Block so I forgot that set-up would not work in my application.

I'm running the incorrect sender as there are different applications with, or without gauges.

Ground Up's catalog shows GAC-110 for 70 to 72 chevelles with gauges and 64+ w/out gauges.
