Well, I ended up going with a 15x8 prostar with 4.5" backspacing for the rear of my 70 Chevelle. I was looking at slicks now and wondering if a 28x11.5x15 will go under my car with no work to the inner fender or the lip. If they won't will a 28x10.5x15 go under there. Thanks for your help.

I will be installing 29x13.5 tires on a 15x10 rim with a 5.5" backspacing. This will apparently require minimal trimming inside the lip of the wheel well and that is all. You should have no problem with your wheels. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Thanks guys. I was also looking at 29.5x10.5 I would assume that would fit also. Thanks again for all the help.

I'm using draglites 15x8 4.5 backspacing, with 28x10.5x15 MT e.t. drags, they fit under the car but was real close to the lip,I was afraid with slight body roll and someone in the back seat that they would rub,I trimmed 1/4-1/2" from the lip, yes,I run slicks on the street as long as its not raining. I've had 29x10x15 under it,but that was a real tight fit, close to the front of the wheel well opening.
