:beers:Just installed the L.E.D. Tail lights in my 70 Wagon (same housing as 70 El Camino). Lights are from one of our sponsors. All systems are GO. Very nice lites. To realy make the job nice, I got some 3/8" X 3/8" Clear plastic at a glass shop and cut 2 pieces for each light 3" long. Lay this down over the stock white prismatic surface, Then silicon everything together.
To make everything work well I left the bulbs in the front.
My third brake lite inside the wagon is an L.E.D. Along with the new L.E.D. stop & Turn lites, Hit the brakes and WOW!!!!!!!!! Each L.E.D. unit has around 40--50 LEDs, My third brake lite has 25 LEDs. Now when I hit the brakes, Somewhere around a 125 RED LEDs lighting up my backend.
And best of all---NO WIRING--- The new light kit comes with the ends of the wires in a 1157 style metal socket, PUSH and TURN the socket!!!!! wiring is done!!!!!!!!!! Total cost with shipping, Less than $70.00. Bob:thumbsup:
