: Why dont we have real estate like this in Seattle?
Brettd85 Oct 11th, 07, 4:37 PM I suppose the answer is obvious. However, wish I could find something like this similar anywhere near Seattle.

FRYNTYR Oct 11th, 07, 9:09 PM I kinda like my place. Bigger house, more acreage, bigger pool, cooler cars. Still need a second shop though,,my 30X48 is a bit small but guaranteed the equipment and contents of my shop rules!
Pretty good looking place. Price isn't too bad either.
Funny one Jeff :D

Well yea yours is better, but I dont think it could be had for $300k...
66SSFan Oct 11th, 07, 9:28 PM This is the reason I moved from Mill Creek/Bothell a couple months ago and got a new job. The prices are insane, even in snohomish county. Look in Kingston and travel across the ferry for work, its only a 25min crossing. I'm looking in Olalla, which is close to the narrows bridge in tacoma. If I need to drve around, it won't be too painfull. Looking at a large house with a 4 car garage and a 48x60 shop on 2.5 acres for 325 thou.

True,,,,thank god I bought and built when I did because I couldn't afford my place now if I had to buy it.
RAMBO Oct 13th, 07, 12:55 AM I just spent a week out on San Juan and Orcas islands.... driving for miles and only seeing 4 or 5 cars... One end of the island to the other in 30 mins..
2 hours back here, and i am already nuts with the traffic and crazies... It took me 30 mins to get from I5 to my house in Mill creek 2 miles away....
I gotta get outta this place....
Spokane, and Northern Idaho may be viable options... I absolutly hate what has happened to this area, and i'm not just talking about housing prices...
One more winter & spring to finish fixing my house up and i'm going to be seriously looking to get outta here.

I hear Texas has some wide open spaces!;)
I loathe the traffic here. I can't stand to drive the 5 north of Olympia. Besides the traffic, there's too many tree hugging wannabe hippies. Its too bad because the country here is awesome. If I had my druthers, I'd be back in Alaska.
rbwjr325 Oct 13th, 07, 5:15 AM How about a 5 acre farm for 33000,Farmhouse,barn,pond. S.E. Ohio. Not much for jobs but land is affordable.I bought 18 acres hunting woods for 6800.Deer,turkey,fishing.

webfoot Oct 13th, 07, 1:13 PM My friend that lives in St. Maries ID bought 14 wooded acres with a large house and a shop for something like 240K last year.
OH and it also came with a free, straight DRIVABLE 1970 bronco 4x4 with orig 302 v8. This guy doesn't need the shop or the bronco, he is about as mechanically disabled as they get!

No, Uncle Sam druther I'd be somewhere else:)
If they wear out, they're rebuildable, upgradable, unbreakable, and serviceable:thumbsup:
