A buddy of mine is rebuilding a chevy 350 and while it was down at the machine shop they ran the numbers on the oil pump. M-99HVS which they said is a 67 to 69 high flow oil pump for a 302cid motor. Hes replacing the pump and was wondering if this something worth saving. Any thoughts, should he junk it or is it a needed part for the purists.

Junk. Wy use a used oil pump? When buiilding a high dollar engine like a DZ 302, why chince with rebuilding a used pump?

That was my thoughts as well, hes replacing it in a 350.
