For the ones that have been helping me so much I am about to start my rebuild of a smog 350 to a mild 350 in my college engine rebuilding class. I will post info on the build for the guys that want the info on a basic performance.

I started the tare down yesterday of my donor block that I will use for the core. It is off an 82 suburban and has a standard bore and the cylinders are very clean so no need to bore it out just needs a new hone job before I put in the new pistons. All the bottom end will be stock minus the pistons. The pistons will be in the 9.1 to 9.5 range and will be hypereutectic. Heads will be smog heads but they will be cleaned up and new valve job, at least there 1.9/1.5 I was fearing they would be smaller. I will be using UD cam 272 H10 ( 217/217, 454/454 on 110) Edelbrock RPM intake to a 750 performer carb. stock converter, trany and 10 bolt peg leg 2.73.

This is a mild combo and will be semi cheap so I am really interested on the outcome. But this being such an easy basic combo that is perfect for street/daily driver if anyone is interested in the build I will post info on it along with a rw dyno at the end of the build.
