What's everybody running on their BBC for intake manifolds when running a Qjet? The stock cast iron manifold? Mine is a 454.

The Peformer works just as fine as an RPM for a combo thats cammed with that less than 235 duration @ .050 in my experience

I would stay away from the Performer because of the port size (they are peanut port)The RPM is an excellent manifold or there are older Q-jet manifolds around but they are hard to find. The factory sunken manifold is terrible don't use it unless you are restoring a car and must.

Mike, just an FYI,I found no difference between the RPM and the Performer at the track..same MPH,same ET,same 60 ft. under various weather condtions..this was shifting at 5500-5700

i had an old performer 2-O and it was not peanut port. i would either use it or an rpm q-jet.

Or try a Weiand 8005 intake.. It's a good one too...

Should be half way between a Performer and an RPM in hp potential, imho...
