I've begun the headliner install on my 72. I read the install sticky, but still have a question on the plastic clips for the center bow. I don't remember which way the clips were installed in the roof.

Does the part that holds the dome light wire go toward the front or the rear of the car ?

Does the center bow install in the center channel or the channel furthest from the dome wire holder on the clip?

I'm in a holding pattern till I find out for sure. :(

I did mine earlier in the year. But don't remember these little details. I thought that the center bow connected to the front of clips and the dome light wire attached to it at the rear. The bow wire would line the palstic up and the dome wire would follow pretty much straight across from where the wire comes from above the door. As long as the dome wire ends up Directly to the dome light I don't think it makes much differents. If you go into the search feature you will run into pictures of this set up that will set you straight. I have seen them when I was at this point..

The part that hold's the wires for the dome light go to the rear of the car,and I usually put that bow in the cneter channel on that clip,and if it don't look right just move it to the next one.Make sure that you put all your screw's in the hole's that they go in,before you install the headliner it makes it alot easier to find the hole's for the dome light and sun visor's clothes hanger's when you are finished.
