Before I built this stroker motor I had a 454 (.060 over) cast crank (turned .030/.020), rods (30 grams out of balance, peanut port closed chambered heads w/ small valves and stock valvesprings, that weren't getting any oil (could only rev to about 5300), Lunati street master cam 245/245 295/295 .550/.550 108LSA Flat-tappet hydrualic, 8.8:1 comp, holley highrise dual plane and a 750 holley. Basically it was a bomb about to explode. It only had about 7,000 miles on it when I tore it apart and everything was shot, and the harmonic balancer was about to split off the crank. Now with all of this that motor flat out got it pretty good, it was a solid low 13 sec car. Now after stroking the motor to 498ci,10.2-10.5 compression, 2.19/1.88 049's bowl blended and gasket matched and a crane Flat-tappet hydrualic 236/246 296/306 .553/.571 114LSA same intake and carb it just doesn't impress me. I know it's faster than before but not like I thought it would be,it just doesn't feel like it. Yeah I can do second gear burnouts for 400ft, that's cool but it just doesn't go like I want it to. I'm thinking of new topend, get's heads ported, sinlge plane, and 850-950 proform, and maybe a new cam (solid/solid roller?). I want a lunati again cuz that first one was awesome. I have everything tuned in 36*total 16*initial, just doesn't do it for me. Just need advice I guess. Thanks guys for reading the novel, again.

Rassan,
What you're feeling is the 114 LSA vrs the 108....
It really flattens out the torque curve, and you don't get that 'Punch in the Rear'.....
I can make you either a 302A8LUN, 288/296 at seat, 231/239 at .050, .550/.575 valve lift and 110 LSA, or a 302A9LUN-110, 296/306 at seat, 239/249 at .050, .575/.580 valve lift, and 110 LSA. The 302A8 has always beaten your current Crane, and the 302A9 is a little bigger, for the 4-speed.
Making either of these cams on 108 LSA will give more 'Punch...', but then hooking-up becomes a problem.....
They will both make in excess of 500 BHP in your engine.

UD,
I actually called lunati and the guy that helped me quoted me(I think) "315/320 245/255 .575/.600 110" w/2* advance ground in. He said with the cubes I have I need more druation. But, If those are the cams you suggest then I'd like to go with one of those. I would choose the bigger one of the two, I pulled the motor outta the car today and took one of my heads to the guy who built me the first motor. He's work for a couple of pro-stock truck/car teams, he looked at the heads and said there's not a whole lot to gain which I thought there could be more. They are gasketmatched and pocketported, ferra valves, I think if I change that cam and the intake then it'll be good. Grif, told me to raise the runners and put on a dominator, but I'll probably just put on a 950.
Anyways, UDharold I would greatly appreciate your time on grinding me a cam, let me know what you think. Mr 4spd I actually Haven't ran it at the track but from friends w/ 12.00 cars I would guess mid 12's.
Thanks guys
Rassan
