I know they have them at OPGI, 1-800-chevelle, they are actually called "engine mounting brackets" in their catalog. Also, the Ground Up( our sponsor) catalog I have, lists them under "frame brackets" on the same page they have the motor mounts listed (2003 catalog, page 14) Or you can try www.opgi.com (http://www.opgi.com) or www.ss396.com. (http://www.ss396.com.) If all else fails, or you don't want to pay for new ones let me know, I think I have another set on my 68 parts car I can hook you up with. BUT, if I remember correctly, the 68-72 small block and big block brackets are the same aren't they?

well wow that is my brain dead move of the day... too bad it is my fourth LOL. My car is a 68.

street/strip68: Ya know if I could figure it all out... I would tell ya but everyone says something different and for some reason I can't seem to get my headers to fit and was gonna try from scratch. I ordered BBC solid uppers from moroso and they fit width wise (although moroso's site says they shouldn't fit sbc lowers. It seems as my driver's side header collector hits the floor boards, but the motor looks like it is place ok... maybe a hair farther back then it should be. I dunno here is a pic if it gives anyone ideas:

I have hooker super comp headers right now (need to get new ones... bigger) and I have raised exhaust port heads (Brodix), but they have been milled quite a bit to gain about a point of compression. SO I dunno what gives... never thought putting a BBC in a car that orginal could have one from the factory could be so hard. Maybe I should just go to a BBC powered fiero. :(

I had heard raised exhaust ports can make it tricky for headers to fit right, I know it seems trivial, but I think if my 2" primary hooker super comps needed to shift up .600" I'd be in trouble in a few spots.
I know the guy who is doing my cam swap suggested lowering my motor to fix my pinion angle problem by cutting the motor mounts somehow (I have adjustable upper rears, my GV OD has been the least-useful thing I've done to the car). I am not sure how you would go about doing this, but maybe that would help offset the raised exhaust ports?
Has anyone done this? Cut the motor mounts? My car is so low I'd probably take out the oil pan, but I suppose it could work in some applications?

My BBC is in a '69, and mine orignally came with a 307, so it has the 307 mounts. I haven't changed the bottom ones. I am also running the Dart Pro 1 heads which have the raised exhaust ports. I am also running the 2" primary hooker super comps. I ended up running the .250" thick moroso solid mounts, and I believe I added 2 washers under each bolt between the block and the mount. The problem areas on the headers were the bolts for the caster/camber shims, and the edges of the TH400 "ear". I ended up shorting up the bolts on the caster camber adjustment bolts and cut a little off the passenger side "ear" of the transmission. The other problem, which I did nothing about, is the drivers side header where it goes through the lower control arm. When the front tires are off the ground and fully extended the inside edge of the control arm hits a promary pipe on the header, not to bad...more of just a scrape.

Thanks for th input guys... I guess I'll try a different set of headers if all else fails.

Just wondering. Are your frame mounts 2 3/8 inches wide or 2 5/8? Looking at your solid mount it seems similar to a situation I had. I bought the 2 3/8 wide and it fit fine.

2 5/8's wide.. which match the lowers.
