I am looking at a 70 Chevelle that's a Baltimore car and noticed a lot of talk on the forum about the D B on the last line of the trim tag.
Is there any one that has a Balt. SS Car that has the B B designation.
Thanks Chris

Haven't seen B B before; what's the style, e.g. 13637, 13667, etc.?

Thanks for the quick reply Dale. I have spent about 6 hours on Chevelle stuff the last to days and the amount of info you have there is amazing and appreciated greatly.

Also i have a build sheet from a Leeds 70SS396 Conv. that i owned, i can send you if you like.
Here's the Tag info. I am not posting all the data here because the car is not mine yet so it's not mine to post but i will if i purchase the car.

This car is supposed to be a SS. I am just getting back into Chevelles after a 15 year absence and looking for a car to do. I have to sell my 55 Belair to get one though.

Dale I found the cowl tag info on the 70SS build sheet info I sent you.

I think you will find this interesting.

I found this in a Chevelle reference book that I just got out of the mothballs. I recorded this in 1989 I guess it pays to be a pack rat. Chris

No one has seen a tag like this? It makes me think the car might be something rare being that this site has so many Chevelle experts and no one has seen this before.

If I am reading right the D B on the 70 Bal. cars means the car is a real SS no??

Thanks, Chris

the BD on the tag is a sorce of topic about proving an SS

so far no proof that it means SS.

I have a '72 SS 454 Balt. car & it only has a 'D'
