My new heads with the CNC chambers have noticable grooves from the process. Is it advisable to take the time to smooth and polish the chambers out? This is a street motor.

No. Those tool marks don't hurt a thing. The CNC finish is fine as is. If you want to do something that will help, get them coated along with your ports, valves, and piston tops.

Polishing won't gain you anything. Some even feel the ridges will keep the air/fuel charge off the chamber wall.
