The KD tool is a good one. The stud can be removed without a tool. The stud will have to be rethreaded a size smaller than original, then a grade 8 nut and spacers will do the removal. Or if it is not completely stripped, the original good threads(below the bad) can be used.

Mike,
Haven't you fixed that thing yet ? :) Just cut it off flush and drill it out. Start small and keep increasing drill size. When you get close to 3/8 the stud will usually spin and come out.
The tools you show might work IF you can find a die hard enough to rethread the stud. You will still have to cut it off unless you use the Ford tool and cut the threads to 5/16, but believe me the studs are HARD.

hahaha nope still havent fixed it. i tryed running a nut down on the stud but it just friggin crushed my spacer so i used grade 8 nuts as spacers and then it stripped the stud completely. i started doing the body and interior until i could make progress on the stud. got that mostly done but this stud issue is eating away at me. i can take it to my engine builder, but then i have to rent a dolly because the car isnt legal... so thats money right there...also, how much do you think he will charge me to replace it with the ones u gave me?
