i'm currently running the stock pick up which runs into a fram filter then into a holley blue pump. this is all mounted to a bracket that makes it level with the bottom of the tank. it runs to the regulater which is mounted directly in front of the bowls. i want to add the carter 172 pump and keep the blue pump as a pusher when racing only. any problems with the carter sucking thru the holley? all fuel lines are the stock 3/8". mike

well the fuel wont suck thru the holley blue i have had this set up listed below and it just wont do it.
fuel cell with filter running 1/2 line into a holley blue.running 1/2" line to a holley street strip pump....3/8"line to regulator set at 7 psi....and 3/8" to carb and one to the nitrous plate.....
when driving around town the manual pump would not pull enough fuel thru the holley pump so i would have to kick it on and shut it off.....then a few minutes later kick it on and shut it off.......with out the holley blue the manual pump would carry 7 psi with the holley elec. pump it would carry 7 psi and then fall as i drive then i would have to kick it on for a few seconds.......but i didnt change it for years and drove it this way....going down the highway i just left the loud elec. pump on.......
at the race track with 10 sec 1/4 mile times on nitrous it never went below 7 psi with elec. pump on.....
