Does anyone have any experience with the Hamburger 1088 SBC pan? I have heard that the quality of these pans have decreased since Mr. Gasket bought the company. I would prefer to know about any issues up front than to find out about problems after I spent $200 on it.
Thanks,
Doc

Doc, I can't comment on the SBC pan; but I can on the BBC pan. The pickup which was included has the tube whick sucks the oil way too close to the outer wall of the pickup. Watch for that. I bought a Moroso pan and pickup and the quality difference is noticeable. Also, the burger pan I bought would not fit the Chevelle. The front portion of the pan is too tall, and the rear 1/2" too long. I had to completly disassemble the pan to deburr and knock the slag off. I decided to paint (glyptol) the inside to seal the welds. This was prior to discovering the fit issue. Oh and one more thing. It is notched for a stroker crank, but they eliminated bolt holes to accomplish that. The Moroso pan I bought was also a stroker unit. All the bolt holes are there. My advice, buy Moroso. The finish on the inside was much better and fit like a glove.
