Hello everyone i am trying to remove my 68's dash. i removed tons of screws and i am trying to pull it out but it gets stuck on the steering column. any tips on how to remove it step by step? pictures are appreciated.

You will need to drop the steering column down. Remove the two nuts that are holding the column up under the dash and gently lower it onto the seat. If you haven't already done it, unhook the speedometer cable from behind the speedometer. Unplug any wires remaining and it should come out. If it's a column shift car be sure to unhook the shift indicator from the column before you drop it down.

it is a column shift car. cool. roger that i will do that tomorrow so that i can paint the entire dash

I found also on mine its easier also to remove the steering wheel. Generally I think as on mine theres a mark on the wheel and post to line back up when puuting back on. If yours is ac there a screw that is really hard to take off and replace that holds the vent box to the dash. Its on the left side. Just takes awhlie to take off. One of those just little turn at a time things.Mines column shift also. You will see where the cable starts after awhile to cut into the box where it rolls around on it. I had to make a feel in on mine. Good to hear from another 68er. They rule.
