I have been having some problems with my TH350 tranny for quite some time now burning forward clutches. The other day I took it to a reputable transmission place to have the transmission rebuilt. I picked the car up Tuesday 11/4/03 and it drove and shifted fine for about an hour. Now after I drive it for a while, maybe an hour, when shifting from first to second it feels like the car almost stops pulling then second gear kicks in and man it just goes!!!!. The second to third shift is fine. Also, if I manually shift the tranny into first gear from a stop and start to accelereate the car doesn't seem to want to pull past 4000 rpm if feels like it is straining. The shift from second to third is fine. I going to take it back to the shop but wanted to know if you guys had any ideas on what the problem might be.The tranny has B&M 2800 stall ,transgo shift kit, TCI sprag and band. Before I broke the stock sprag the car would pull to 6000 no problem HELLLPPPPPPPPPPP.

Any ideas??? I took the car back to the tranny shop to have it fixed. The technician told me that the reason it won't pull up to 6000 is because of the shift kit that I have in it.(BULL)
I'ts the same shift kit that was in it before the tranny broke. It's going back to the shop tomorrow.Just wanted to know if you guys had any siggestions.

Can't help but you might try posting in the transmission forum. There are some sharp guys there, I don't know if they check this forum.

Describe the shift feel from 1st to 2nd better...
Is there a binding feeling like you hit the brakes when shifting from 1-2, and is this an auto shift or manual shift.
Or is it like the motor runs out of stema, then it shifts...
What throttle opening, Part or WOT?

Found out yesterday that something in the valvebody was blocked off causing it not to pull pas 4000 rpm.Tranny shop is going to replace the whole tranny.
