Well it went pretty good i guess. First pass 7.47, 2-7.41 & 7.40 @ 94. Seems a little soft out of the hole. Could probably use a 4.33 or 4.56. Ran strong but had a tiny flat spot right after launch. Some said fuel could be pouring out of vents into venturis. Think maybe when the motor loosens up and a little tuning and some more gear 7.0's are do-able. Pulled the front wheels about 6-7 inches though. Man that was a blast.





Hey everyone finally got the car strip ready and going to the 1\8 mile tom. night. What should I expect it to run? 66 malibu, 13:1 406sbc, jegs 220cc heads, comp s\r cam 276/284 @ .050 .660" 104lsa, th350 8" tci converter(44-4800 stall) 4.10's, super comp headers, portmatched supervictor intake, 850 AD mighty demon, 28*10.5 et drags, ssm liftbars, 90\10 front shocks, 50\50 rears, moroso trick springs all corners. Im hoping for at least 7.50's if not better. Could probably use a little more gear but thats not very fesible right now. What do ya'll think.

Could be the fuel splash, I set my floats that I have to bounce the car slightly to get fuel out of the sight plug. But also does the carb have jet extesions? They are a big help if it doesn't.

Actually I dont think it does. that could be part of the problem 2. the secondary jets being uncovered. i might have to try some extensions. thanks

Your combo is somewhat similar to my old 23° combo. 422sbc (4.165x3.875) 12.45:1, Super Vic 2970, dominator, 256/275@.050 110lsa 105icl 728/714, ati 8", 4.56 gears, 1.875" headers 3.5" collector, 3.5" x-pipe w/magnaflows, 315/60 m/t dot radials. Went 10.05@131+ @3560lbs in killer air.

Thats awsome, I would love to get my car that fast w\o the bottle. Are those stahl headers you have.
