I'm converting my 700r4 to a tko600 and was wondering a few things...

Does my console need to change at all?

Does the top plate stay the same or do i need to buy the 4 speed top peice? or can i just buy the 4 speed inserts?

All you need to change is the top plate. You can get a shifter boot form just about any restoration outfit.

I've been told that the only part of the console you would have to change is the top plate. Well excuse me if I'm wrong.

theres a plastic insert that goes under it too. jim

that console insert plate, 3rd one down is just a restore part for the 4 speed top plate. You need the console top plate PN IAP-0530 $75 and to do it right the shifter slider PN ICS-421 $22.95 the 3rd part you listed is already on the top plate. jim
