The Chevelle hasn't been out of the garage in a month. Too much rain every weekend.
Thought about going this Saturday but got some bad news today...torn rotator cuff in right shoulder.
MRI on Thursday will tell the tale on how bad. :rolleyes:
Rebuilding two cars in two months did me in.
Plus, just swapped motors in Dana's Chevelle last weekend.

Bill, you still going up to CanAm with your shoulder like it is? I bought some Six Flags tickets today. I"m shooting for Friday, the 30th, at the park. Which means I will drive over there Thursday evening. Friday evening I will head directly home to HSV, unless you need me to do some "heavy lifting" around the house for you. ;)

Yes, CanAm is still a go.
And Thursday evening before Six Flags is good for us. Give me a call earlier that week when your plans firm up (based on the weather, I assume).

I just got the OK from my cardiologist to go ahead with the MRI. Needed to be sure those stents stay put. ;)
Actually the car was at Commerce a month ago. Really a lousy day...hot and then rained briefly mid afternoon. Pit pavement temp was 147*, honest! Traction and air were nasty...best run of the day was a disappointing 11.3 @ 119.

We missed you last weekend. Newby cleaned house in the Night of Fire make up race for trophy street and nearly won the Wally in the second race. I think he won 9 rounds that day. The cruise we mentioned is at Riverstone (off I-575 above Canton) and is held the 3rd Saturday of the month (this weekend).
The drive-in is in Blue Ridge...

We talked about maybe going to the Dallas 1/8 mi drags after that...depending on weather.
Nothing really firm though.

Thanks for the kind offer for Thursday. I'll be at Bill's place that night. If something comes up for him, then I will give you a call. Maybe if I suffer a heat stroke on Friday, and don't want to drive home for 3 hours that night, I can crash at your house? We'll see. But, thanks again.

I wonder how the traffic from Bill's place will be on a Friday morning heading toward I-20? The park doesn't open until 10:00. I'm sure I can leave by 9:00 and be just fine.
