: Lets See Your Custom Cloth Seats
Hi All:beers:
I am redoing the black interior in my 66'. I have 70' bucket seats and I want to customize them by using cloth on the centers in both the front and rears. maybe black leather or vinal on the outside of the seat and cloth on the center section?
Need some ideas, car goes to upolsterer in a week or two, can you share pics? I did a search, but was not able to find anything.
Thanks
Tod

70 Gold Nugget Sep 30th, 07, 9:41 PM I would suggest that you use vinyl instead of leather for the sides (boxing or band whatever you want to call it) and here is why...the sides are where most of the stress is when you sit in a seat...97% of modern cars equipped with leather seats are actually hybrids...they use vinyl for the sides and a lot of times for the back of the covers as well for two reasons...one because of the stress issue and two cause they are cheapskates...with all that being said you can use leather but care must be taken to use the proper area of the hide for those pieces...
70 Gold Nugget Sep 30th, 07, 9:42 PM BTW your seats look nice gentlemen...
