hey guys, im a new member.good to be onbord. looking for some new tech for the steering/suspension on my old 68 ss. i have owned several of these cars and they all handled like crap. after pouring over everything i could dig-up on the subject, i was ready to do a B spindle swap. (the ATS packages are priced out of my league) but i want to keep my car out of the woods.(unlike a few previous) any suggestions? any info on the SC+C kits i just stumbled on? thanx

These cars tend to scrape their door handles going around corners in stock worn out condition. There are some major improvements you can make without spending the big bucks. Bolt on a front sway bar from a 79-81 Trans Am, WS6 model, 1 1/8". Pretty common in junk yards. About $25. Get a rear sway bar off of any 68-72 A body, with the matching boxed arms. New appropriate year BB springs in front and wagon/El Camino springs in the rear with KYB shocks all around. You won't be the fastest car at the autocross, but it does make a drastic improvement in handling without killing the ride quality, and can be done for about $500 total if you install the parts yourself.
