: IE page refresh?
Cameano Sep 29th, 07, 7:48 PM I'm using IE 6.0, and I've noticed that when I post something, and then return to the forum page to see other topics, that the page doesn't refresh when I return. I believe there is a setting somewhere to make it refresh, because my work laptop does refresh the page when I hit return. Any suggestions? It'd be nice to not have to hit refresh every time.
Thanks,
usually it's under Tools > Options > General > Temporary Internet Files > click "Settings" and then the option should be on Automatic.

Thanks,
I had the same issue. I cleaned out all my cookies and that seemed to fix the problem.

Just as easy as adding oil and water to your daily driver on a daily basis when it leaks. I see.

No, F5 is a very useful key, it refreshes any web page, program interface, and even your desktop. It takes a lot less effort to tap a key then to add oil and water. Also it is a lot faster to hit F5 then to grab the mouse and click on the refresh button.

You can go back in there and click on the "every time I visit the page"

Yeah, I don't have issues with my laptop, it does it automatically. Maybe I should just upgrade to IE7.0 now. I tried the setting you suggested, but it does nothing, same as the other.
Time to toss your cookies and login fresh. Something might be messed up with the time between the server and you.

Ok, I cleared all the cookies and files, and relogged in. Let's see if this works.
Nope. :( I guess I could just break myself of using the return button, and just back out by using the link back to the forum after I make a post. That'd work too.
Well, now it sounds like your ISP is caching the pages to save on bandwidth and make the connection seem faster.
